Hi Guys, can anyone tell me wat is the problem with my ride interior. I can still hear the Road Noise even though I have installed aditional door seal rubber on top of the stock rubber. How can I eliminate this problem? Thanks.
You have to determine where the noise is coing from. It may be the tires, or maybe just the inherent noise from the Vibe/Voltz. Remember, it is not a Lexus !
There's only a thin sheet of metal between you and the road. You might need to add sound deadening under the carpet.

Additional door seals are a nice start, good job on that one. But noise comes from everywhere so I would start experimenting with sound deadning materials placed around various areas inside the vehicle... Remove the seats and carpet and place some more padding under there, maybe some more in the doors... As for what to use, I can't help you there. Also, things like the type of tires you have should also be taken into consideration. Certain tires simply make more noise than others... If you have a set of tires with aggressive tread you may want to consider taking a hit in performance and going with a softer set of touring-type tires that will give you a quieter ride. I know I'm constantly reminded of the impact that different types of tires have in the the winter, my winter tires are so much louder than the ones I use in the warmer months... But that is the price I have to pay so I can actually drive the car when the snowflakes fall instead of being stuck somewhere. Good luck to you... If you come up with something that works, let us know.

road noise is tires. Wind noise is seals , etc. Determine which. I know I have less wind noise than other rides I have had. These have double sealed doors. I'd bet on tires.

Sound deadening would be my next move . R u refering stuff like "Acumatt", but that material is quite heavy though . Sorry, my problem is more on the wind noise, not the tyre noise. Any tips.
Do you have cross bars on your roof racks?Move them as far back or remove them from the racks completely.Otherwise - it was said before, it ain't no lexus with triple door seals and foam insulation injected in the body panels.
