Hi all,I have 04 vibe and without power windows. When I have the window rolled down a bit,the window rattles like crazy.I thought I have seen a post on here before. It's like the weatherstrip on the window is not tight enough.Has anyone had warranty issues regarding this, and has it been replaced.THANKS.

I have an 04 GT and I have the same problems. I have had it to the dealer and there seems to be nothing that you can do about it, at least that is what I was told. If it starts to pop when rolling window down then take it is and get the window motor replaced.later

"Normal design characteristic" or something... They're all very loose and will flop around like mad when they are partially rolled down and you're traveling at highway speeds... And you'll probably get a nice CLUNK when closing the doors if the windows are cracked. Not much can be done about it. It's always bugged the heck out of me! But they're just designed to be loose, and no way to fix them, AFAIK.

We took it to the dealer and got it fixed. They said the "window run channel was loose". (taken straight from the paperwork)
2003 Vibe GT. 100,000 kmI've done my windows twice. The dealer say's the tracks are worn, and it's $300 to fix. It's also not a common problem, just my car. When will the dealers start telling the truth !!!If your handy and have some very basic tools you can fix the problem in about 15 min per door. You'll have to remove the inner door panel and peel back the plastic moisture barrier. On the btm. of the window are 2 brackets that are bonded to the glass. These brackets are bolted to plastic blocks that slide in the upper window regulator. The window regulator looks like a sizzor lift. If you can't see the bolts when you get your panel off just roll the window up or down so the bolts line up with the access holes in the inner door frame. These bolts come loose and allow the window to rattle and flop in and out at the btm. Some lock tight on the threads might keep the fix permanent.Good luck. Hope this cures the problem.
