There's no specific size. As long as you can get it to clear the hood when you close it, you're fine.I think most people get either the dual FIAMM freeway blasters available at most parts stores. Or you can get order Hella brand disc horns. Some even use air horns.

Wimpy horn is correct. I installed an air horn, people now hear what they couldn't.

Go to the wreckers, find some American luxo-boat and take the dual horn setup from it.You should be able to find a mate for the horn wire, or just splice into the wire.Worst case, you may have to make a small bracket from some 1/8 steel or even aluminum to mount the horns in place of the stock piece of crap.

I was looking at the auto parts store today for a replacement horn for my Vibe. I had a Jeep Wrangler before the Vibe and loved how substancial (loud and rich sounding) that horn was. When I was looking at the disc horns at the store, I didn't realize the choices you had, B, C, E, F, high note, low note, etc., so I am at a loss as to which one to get. Of course, if I miss my Jeep horn as much as I think, I can always dig out one of my old catalogs for Jeep accessories and see if an OEM Jeep horn would work in the Vibe. If it is a two prong 12V disc, I shouldn't have any problems installing it. What is the most common note out there on the highways for non whimpy horns?

That's what i did. Got the dual horn setup from a Lincoln Town car. Works great.

Damn you, Toyota...Anyway - search around these here forums, the horn is typically the first thing to go when people get their Vibes... :D
