New member here, but not a n00b

Post by -fluffy- »

Well, we picked up our Vibe yesterday. A little about it first: 2004 Base in Neptune monotone, alloys, moon/tunes, auto, power package. We got it certified used with 17k on it.About me: I'm 20, a student, and a car freak. My personal car for the time being is a 95 Nissan SE-R with a few bolt ons, nothing special. But I'm a member of a local tuner club here that has over 25 cars, including a couple 11 and 12 second daily driver Hondas. As for the Vibe, I'm not the owner of the car. My dad bought it for my mom actually, but I'm the car nut in the house, and will be in charge of the changes made to the car. That's about it for now. I'll see you guys around.

I'm a newbie as well and thought I'd tack onto -fluffy-'s thread. I bought a 2004 Lava Vibe GT new on the lot back in May. Talk about your killer deals - it wasn't too much more than an '05 base.I've been chasing through the forums with a passion following the ebbs and flows of Ragin' Fish (sorry about the G6), Colonel Panic, Damronjr and all the rest (yeah, there are a bunch of you not listed but I've chased em all!)I'm here now because my fiancee dropped me (after 7 yrs) and I need thoughts and ideas on how to spend an engineer's salary on a sweet ride. I've always loved the sleek stock look (think Bond, James Bond) and will try to keep everything I mod in the same taste. I have already completed one mod that I haven't found anyone do yet, but don't worry - pics are a comin'.-Bobby, oops I mean-engineertwin2P.S. Yes I'm a twin identical, the fiancee was a twin, identical. Our respective twins get married in June. Yes its almost redneck...but please welcome me anyways.

I'm a mechanical engineer with a lot of course work (NAU didn't offer a minor) in German Automotive Engineering. I worked on several projects through school, including the BMW X3 student design suspension competition. But more importantly, the mini-baja. For those of you who don't know what that is, think sandrail in a 5'x8' footprint. We replaced the Briggs and Stratton motor (lamo) with a Yamaha YZ450 engine (kicka$$) after competition...And yes I have heard of the Twins Day in Twinsberg. One time I thought of going...but I'm over it now.
