I was driving to work today when I put a CD in my CD player (single disc, Moon and Tunes option) and it will not play nor will it even eject the disc... it's STUCK! So now I have a CD player that I can't even use. It will only let the radio work. Is there any manual eject on these things? Any suggestions on what I should do about it? I basically listen to nothing but CDs in my car... PLEASE HELP!

What a surprise - I have the same problem. I have the 6-cd changer, and it's giving me the very descriptive and helpful "CD PLAYER ERROR" message. From the sounds, I can only assume that one of them is stuck.I am making the assumption that when I take it in next week for it's first servicing (3 months) that this is a warranty item - I could be wrong.Other than that, I can't give you any tips. Sorry!
Wow... the same problem with the 6 disc changer as well. Guess I'm not surprised. Any other help or suggestions would be MUCH appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Well there is an internal problem with the mechincs of the CD player, It will be covered under warranty, they will have to remove the radio and send it out for repair and then the radio tech can manually trip the mechinsim to get the Cd and hopefully they can see why it didn't eject. If it reoccurs again INSIST on a new radio.Just a note of humor--------I once had a XXX Video stick in my VCR--I DID NOT dare thake it in to the repair shop so they could see what I was watching --so I took it apart mysellf but ruined the tape in the process..........
When you say that they have to "send it out for repair" how long is this going to take... if you have any idea??? I CAN'T BE WITHOUT MY MUSIC! I have a 30 min drive to work on way... I think I may just go crazy without any tunes. ARGH!

I'm a music addict as well, but I'm afraid to say that until the Charter of Rights is amended to include the right to have a continual source of music playing in a person's car, we're kinda going to have to suck it up. I've actually found that I turn the music off occasionally to listen to my Vibe's engine as I drive - but then again, that's the beauty of a GT.... P.S.: Update - I'm taking my Vibe in on Monday the 30th where it will be looked at by the stereo specialist. It sounded like I'd have it back that day, but no mention of whether it will be warranty work or not. I'll keep ya'll updated....

Also make sure you get money for the CD, because you will not be getting it back.
My Vibe was serviced last week, and at the same time I had the stuck CD player looked at. As I suspected, I have a number of home-burned CD's with adhesive labels on top that were causing the problem. Since the 6 CD changer is in the dash, it is VERY hot in there, causing the labels to lift slightly and get caught in the changing mechanism. This time I wasn't charged for the repair, but I was admonished for using labels and warned that any future servicing for the same reason would be at my expense. I guess I'll be labelling my CDs with a Sharpie marker from now on.
I've had to change my radio twice and both times the cd reader wasn't working correctly and that's when I got fed up and bought an alpine head unit and infinity speakers.

Does you new radio looked "patched" jn somwhat, since it's not OEM? My CD player is not working after a CD got sstuck in there and I am thinking of relacing it with a non-OEM CD player but I don't want it to be obvious the radio is not OEM.
I tried putting a CD into my Vibe when there was already one in it and it got the original one jammed and then it got stuck in eject mode and started clicking and my fiance was driving, so from the passenger seat I managed to pull the dash cover off but still couldn't get the CD out so I finally told her to finally pull over and turn the car off but the unit still kept clicking and then right before I got the CD out a puff of smoke blew out of the thing and afterwards the display and CD player were fried but the radio still worked but that sucks so I bought this replacement from eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...38641. I popped it right in no problem - didn't need a code or anything. The moral to this story is that IF YOU GET A CD STUCK IN YOUR VIBE THEN PULL OVER RIGHT AWAY AND TURN THE CAR OFF.Love,The Wildcat'04 Vibe Moon&Tunes SALSA
