GM12-AUXv2 (2004 Moons & Tunes, factory head unit), 12v constant power?

Post by iamthekiller »

I received my GM12-AUXv2 auxiliary adapter today, and want to hook it up as soon as possible - I can't stand FM radio and need my satellite radio back. My question is: how/where do I hook up the yellow and black wires? The yellow one is supposed to go to 12v constant power, and the black is supposed to be grounded.I understand that I can tape the end of the black wire to metal to ground it? ..but I'm not sure how to "tap into a 12v constant power" source with the yellow wire. Note: the end of the yellow wire has a small metal plate with a hole in the middle, and the black wire end is a metal ring. I know how to cut/splice wires, but don't know which wire it would be, how to tap into the fuse box, or anything like that. Please help! A photo would be great.

You can get battery power/ground off the 24-pin (larger) connector that plugs into the back of the radio. The wire to B1 (blue/yellow, sometimes blue/white) is +12v from battery (constant)A12 (brown wire) is ground.Note: you may get some hiss with this particular adapter:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=19027
