I installed a Donnelly dimming mirror. It is a sweet unit. I bought it off Ebay. This unit has the map lights that the Vibes with sunroofs are missing. I wired the map light so they can be turned on with or without the key and the map lights come on when any door is opened. Finally I will easily see the keyhole and dash buttons. And it works with the light delay as well. Course I did not necessarily need the temp readout since Vibes have one but now the passenger can read temps too. It will be nice to have compass readouts though. I also wired it up so the dimming is turned off when the car is put in reverse so you can use the mirror at night while backing up.

Sorry not sure how to post pics on here. I thought about using the temp probe as inside temp. I also thought about moving the stock temp sensor inside. I still might. Here is a link for this mirror and install instructions. I did notice the link incorrectly says "It features a manually activated day/night flip tab for superb daytime viewing and maximum glare protection from headlights at night." http://dlcparts.com/frontend/p...d=888No I did not pay that much. lolHere is a link of a Matrix install. Different model mirror but basically the same as I installed except I also connected to the interior lights and reverse lights switch. http://www.electrolund.com/200...mpass/
I have the 5 speed trans. There is a reverse light switch on the top of the transmission. There is a two wire plug going to that switch. The red/black wire is the correct one to connect to.
you can always backtrack the reverse bulb wire. i installed a auto dim light myself. i had no instructions however. i made a run to chrysler for a schematic on the auto dim mirror. the one i have came off a 00 caravan. used my multi meter to find the right splice points. pretty easy i wanna say.i also didn't bother with the reverse off feature. i believe you need to be looking behind you when you reverse, not at a mirror.it would be really cool to have interior temp as well as outside. i want to look at some used overhead center consoles. chrysler made them with a clock, compass and temp incorporated in them. i might find a good used one and mod it.
