I been drooling all over a Solstice brochure for the past week.In the specs section at the back, it says it has four gauges, including engine temp. However, in all the pics, I only see three gauges: tach, fuel, and speedo.Anybody know where the engine temp is?

It's not a traditional analog gauge. The engine coolant temp is accessible via the Driver Information Center system (which is displayed in the readout below the tach). It will give you a readout of the engine temp.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
My GTO has the same thing, you can select from engine rpm, digital speedo, water temp, valtage, ect.

When I first saw the Cobalt, I was thinking "what the hell, are we going back to the era of the uninformed? Nothing sucks more than no gauges and a bunch of idiotic idiot lights. But I later found what Mike just said, the coolant temp showing a number down in the display on the tach.Which, from the looks of it, the Solstice has the gauge cluster ripped straight out of the Cobalt. Or, I should say, it is actually looks similar to the one in the Pursuit in Canada, with the red lighting and what not; only with the scales swapped for sale in the US and a racy looking font. I like the stuff that GM's Driver Info Center tells you on cars like these. But on the GTO, having additional actual gauges, that's even better. Very cool.

Ah so. Thanks Toolman and raging.Quote, originally posted by ColonelPanic »Which, from the looks of it, the Solstice has the gauge cluster ripped straight out of the Cobalt. It was interesting how the Solstice brochure made kind of a deal out of the recessed gauges in the cluster. (Plus notice the chrome trim). I thought.... yeah, that looks nice.... and familar.... and I see that setup everyday in my Vibe!I wouldn't give up the Vibe- it's my commuter, hauler, and family taxi. The Solstice couldn't be any of those (well, could be a commuter but it'd be a waste) but it would be an awesome "Lets get dressed up and go out to the ________" car, a "Road Trip!" car, and a "I just feel like drivin with the stereo blasting" car. They also go on about how aspects of the Solstice were inspired by motorcycles, and I would imagine it also being a lot like people who have cycles: You wake up on a beautiful weekend morning, look out the window, and think "It's a gorgeous day out there. Time to pull off the cover on the fun wheels and go for a ride."Unfortunately, I'm not nearly well off enough to afford to buy and maintain another car.
