Help ZubenElGenubi pick his new Rear Speakers!

Post by ZubenElGenubi »

Apologies to ragingfish, but I really was thinking about doing this a couple of days ago!I'm getting new rear door speakers for my birthday and need some input/feedback from y'all. I've narrowed it down to three specific brands/models, but will accept other suggestions. The only limitations are:1) They must be 6½", coaxial (2 or 3 way).2) They must fit behind the interior panel.3) They must mount to the frame without major modification. Drilling mounting holes is okay, but cutouts are not.4) Power range must be no more than 60w continuous (I'm using the M&T amp for now)5) The price must be less than $100/pr (incl. shipping if online). If anyone owns/has owned any of the one's listed, I'd like to hear about your experience with them.

I have always been a fan of Infinity speakers. I use Infinity Reference. MB Quart are nice too but more expensive.

I like your Illuminites, NascarXprt, but if I got lit speakers, I'd end up having to light up the entire interior of the car. And you've seen me work on my car...it ain't pretty!

Get the Polk they are a great speaker and sound awsome, but I'm biased.

Well...I didn't listen to you folks...at least not right away. I got a pair of Infinity 6012si for $54 (shipped) from Trading Circuit (an eBay store related to Circuit City). Should be here this week. This was such a good deal that I'm gonna keep my eyes open for a pair of Polks as well. Maybe do a comparison between them, pick my favs and sell the others here (or on eBay). Thanks for the feedback...
