Well, I think I may have done it. I was driving in a not so good parking lot and all of a sudden, my front passenger side is making a knocking noise on all bumps, big and small.I have lowered it w/ the Springtech springs w/ 17" wheels w/ 205-40-17 tires. I'm hoping I can get parts cheap since I need to drop a grand on a deposit and rent for a house that I'm movin into starting November. Can anyone tell me what it might be or any suggestions what it might be. Thanx in advance!!!!

Sure sounds like a strut, but could also be loose lugnuts on your wheel. Since you mentioned that you dropped the car, you might also check the two 22mm bolts holding the strut to the suspension to make sure they're tight.
Will check the 22mm bolts. When the car was parked, rocked the front end several time to hear where the sound was comin from. It sounds like it's coming from the top. I check the Strut Brace Bar and the nuts holding that on, and they all were tight. Pretty sure that it's not the lugs, but will check those too.

my Vibe made that noise from the left front for about a week. Hasn't since then... I checked everything, from wheel lugs, tightened my front strut tower bar, the nut on top of the strut mount...

thanx, I will do that now. Went to NTB and they gave me an estimate........... are u ready?? Here goes......$954I took the paper they gave me, went home and grabbed my bottle of vaseline. They said it was the strut mountsThis price was including 2 struts (2x $158), 2 strut mounts (2x $142), 2.7 hrs labor, alight ($64.99, if they can get it on the aligner), plus tax.......they said they have to get the parts from the dealer, but they could get some KYB struts for about $40 less per strut. WOW!!Later, I went home and priced http://www.partszoneonline.com and found struts to be $98, and strut mounts to be $89. So we'll see how it goes.

One of the reasons I'm opting against lowering the new car...even though I loved the way it made the vibe look. suspension is MAD expensive to fix if it breaks!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
A BIG THANX TO MAVRIK!!Took a 19mm socket, tightened it up, and JOILA!! Took a test drive and no noise. Now I'm gonna go buy me some new parts seeing that I just paid myself $954.Think I'm gonna go stick it to NTB.

But glad yours solved up to with tightening that nut on the top. Mine didn't actually seem all that loose... but I tightened it up anyway. Glad to help.

yeah, i know how the rent deposit is, where you at that it is that much. I used to live in northern va and my rent on a 1 BR apt was $1200 w/ military discount and that was cheap. I hate it up there. The BAH pay for the army doesnt even amount to any rent in the area.
