cheap clutch replacements

Post by fightin4aclutch »

I was wondering if anyone has ever had a LUK clutch they are sold out of PEP Boys and I need a cheap replacement they want $200 so can anyone tell me if htey have heard anyhting about these clutches or if you have a suggesetion for a clutch around 200. I also found a centerforce for 235 so any advice on either clutch is appreciated. Also I don't race and no mods.AC

I also decided to check around today for a new clutch. I got a quote last Fall from Toyota @ nearly $1100 but found a transmission place that only deals with the LUK clutch and will install it for $725, including resurfacing the pressure plate and other parts. I don't know if it was the Performance Gold Clutch or just their standard one. Does anyone know about this clutch? Seems like a decent price though they said it was an 8 hour job. The labor cost alone was around $450. Anyone have any thoughts?Dave
