Problems when I turn on fan

Post by Hollow »

I have, how to say, mystical problem. When I turn fan and the position is Window or Window/legs, something like AC compressor turns on, the rpm rises up ~300rpm and some noise begins, like "chirrr" or smth. When the position is Legs or Legs/Face or Face, everything is ok, no noise, no high rpm, nothing. Does anybody have such a problem? Don't now, if someone understand what I say, if not, I'll try to explain then. Autumn came, I should use fan to window day after day...

If I'm understanding correctly, what you're referring to as the "Window" setting (all the way to the far right) or "Window/Legs" (the one above it) are both settings that involve the defroster, which runs the A/C compressor to remove the moisture from the air. So that part is normal, but the sound may not be...it's hard to say without being able to physically hear it ourselves. If it's making a lot of noise, you may want to have it checked out, as the compressor could be the problem.

Thanx for explanation It was new for me The noise is not big, but it plays on my head when the music is low...Does the AC compressor work all the time in those positions?Quote, originally posted by Kari »If I'm understanding correctly, what you're referring to as the "Window" setting (all the way to the far right) or "Window/Legs" (the one above it) are both settings that involve the defroster, which runs the A/C compressor to remove the moisture from the air. Yes it does, because in order to defog your windshield it has to remove moisture from the air, so it runs the A/C compressor to do so.
