Black trimplate around auto shifter.

Is the black trim plate around the auto ****er replaceable or is it part of the larger console? The reason I ask is that mine has some "wear marks" that were already on it when I bought the car (44 miles) and I've tried everything to rub them out.Cougar Vibe

there is a metallic silver panel that comes off, and the black housing is a replacement part. I'll look it up Monday and supply you with a part number and price.
