Just a little fyi - incase you still are retaining the factory set up and have a need for one....."Info - Front Side Door Lower Speaker Part Change #05-08-44-025 - (Aug 15, 2005)Front Side Door Lower Speaker Part Change2004-2005 Pontiac Vibewith Premium 6-Speaker System (RPO UC6)This bulletin is being issued to inform dealers that a change was made to the speaker system used with RPO UC6 in production vehicles effective December 4, 2004.The new front side door lower speaker is from a different supplier. The Goodman speakers, P/N 88973236, have been replaced by the Pioneer speaker, P/N 88974539.For vehicles built prior to 12/4/04, if one speaker needs replacement and there are no more first design (Goodman) speakers available, then both speakers must be replaced with the second design (Pioneer) in order to retain audio quality. Please use this information when ordering parts."

Interesting...Theoretically, then, any cars built after 12/4/04 should have superior sound quality from the stock system then the originals...

Interesting find. I wonder about the sound quality you'll get with the Pioneers, would that be an improvement?... I think the moon & tunes setup is perfectly fine for my needs (now that everything except the amp has been replaced with non-defective factory components) but curious to see how much of a difference this would make...
