I just had my first oil change and mentioned to them that the passenger side visor was coming out of the roof. They said they would take care of it.Well when I went to pick it up he said they needed to order a part and they'd take care of it for me. I said fine and drove off.Well as I was driving up the interstate I look over at the visor.... (removed) it looked like the dude had changed the oil then without washing his hands tried to fix the visor, it's covered in oil and it's all dirty and nasty.Well when I got home I called them up and complained. Of course it's going to get taken care of when the part comes in but (removed) is with these people. I've bought 4 cars from them and never had any problems with warranty work of them cleaning their hands.I think like people just don't give a crap anymore.. Sorry for the rant...

Just had my oil changed too. There was oil dripped onto the head light, all over the engine cover, and even on the air intake. But what really ticked me off was the spot on the arm rest. I would have complained but it was free after all.

I haven't visited one of those megasupersteenkin'big dealers so I can't speak from experience... Like the big guys though (drawing from the experiences of others) , the dirt all over the car still takes place at the small dealership I go to. I've picked up the car with fingerprints all over the headliner, grease on the wheel, oil all over the fenders and engine, even scratches. Only difference: They know me (as they should by now, lol) and they know the condition my car was in when it arrived. So if anything happens that I consider serious damage, it gets fixed after I point it out. The big guys? They probably wouldn't remember my name, let alone what damage was on the car when they pulled it in the shop. :crook Huge dealers suck, I'm all about giving my money to those who run the smaller operations. Usually, they deserve my hard earned cash than the megastore.

The last three times I've been to get my oil changed, my dealer's new oil change tech has gotten oil *all* over the car, inside and out. I had to wash it because there were so many handprints all over the hood, doors, and top of the car, and my steering wheel was sticky and had a huge spot of oil on it.When I had my maplight bulb replaced, they tried to pry the light cover off with a screwdriver, gouged the plastic around the maplight controls with that screwdriver, and got oily fingerprints all over the headliner. They tried to blame both on me when I pointed them out less than 15 minutes after I had left the dealership (I didn't see it until I went to open the moonroof, and yeah, I grease up my hands and get black fingerprints all over my headliner all the time...heh). I got them to replace the maplight control assembly (wondering why they didn't see the *screw* in the first place!) and to clean the headliner, but they cleaned it with red interior cleaner, so that left me with pink spots, which the service manager got to clean out while I watched. Now all that's left is a little pilling, but it still pisses me off to think about it...Glad I don't have to go to that dealer anymore...up here I'll be going to the one my grandpa used to be the service manager of, and working with somebody he trained.
well some shops just hire kids to do their oil changes who have no mechanical/logical experience some of the time. Instead of having a licensed tech work on your little map lamp there, they probably had the lube guy obviously look at it. And he obviously thought it just "popped off" Maybe I'm just a neat freak and was trained right but I never left an oily spot in a car when I changed the oil back in my lube days. What I find rather interesting about the place I work now, is all the techs use floor mats, full platic seat and steeringwheel covers. It certainly stops a lot of those "oil spots" from even starting. I suggest all shops use that stuff.

To answer the question, its the biggest pontiac/buick/gmc dealer in the area. They're usually really good, but I could have just ended up with a chimp changing the visor.I was supposed to go back today and get everything taken care of, but when I showed up at the dealer there were so many cars waiting to be serviced they were out in the main road....I said F-that and just came back the office, it can wait until next week.
resolved. I took it in on Monday and they replaced the entire visor. I even whined about that plastic cover next to the shifter and they put that on too.
