Passenger Jet on Fire in Toronto

Post by Sputnik »

This is horrible! An Air France flight was attempting to land and skidded off the runway. Its now completely engulfed in flames. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/Arti...anadaI hope the flight wasn't full and the people were able to get off in time.

Global news just said (they have live coverage) that 291 were on board and no reports of fatalities at this time. So thats good news. Hopefully that won't change!

I was amazed to see that everyone got out. Only 14 minor injuries. WOW

the weather was brutal here yesterday...i tried taking a picture of how black the sky was but it didn't really do it justice.....by the way, it was an Airbus A340 (their current largest aircraft...until the A380) and not a 737 as the topic title suggests.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

Look what happens when you try landing in a major thunderstorm!Truly amazing the lack of fatalities and the low number of injuries. The air crew showed true professionalism and knowledge in keeping control of the situation and getting 300+ people off the plane in less than 2 minutes.

Yeah I know its an airbus. But I can't edit the title now. At the time I posted it it was a 737 on the news. LOL
