Exactly as the title states. How in the world do I take off the A-Pillar on the drivers side. I have a gauge pod that I would like to install this coming week. Anyone with directions on how to do this? Anyone did this before? Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance!
I think the side airbags are in the seat, aren't they? I don't have them, I could be wrong, but I know in conversations about seat covers, it's come up before...
I believe they are in both locations. Because the 2005 Models have the optional side curtain airbags that drop from above the doors as well as the standard side air bags that come out of the seats.

Dumb question -- Do all 05's have the side-curtain airbags? Don't MFR's have to put an airbag logo on the pillar trim if there's an airbag there? Is there any way to know (aside from window sticker) if you have side-curtain airbags?

Not too sure about that I believe it is an option. I would think that if you have it that it would state it on the pillars. I have side curtain airbags and it is molded/stamped into the pillar and on the side of the drivers seat. I guess you could try referring to your purchase info or contact your dealer.

Not standard. You know if you have them. It probably has a sticker that says "AIRBAG" at all 4 outboard seating positions on the headliner...at least that's how it is in the G6.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
side airbags remain an option. best way to remove the a-pillar is to take a flat head screw driver, insert it at teh top. pry it to where you can have grip by hand. once you hear two pops. pull up.
