I'm sure its beed discussed before but thought I'd post something new for some fresh insight. Now I know we got a few PS2 and Xbox players out there. As well as some PC gamers. But this doesn't need to just be a discussion about video games. Board games as well if those are your interest... those to can be played online.Anyway, currently myself I'm playing more PC games then PS2 games. For the simple fact it frees up the TV for the wife and I to watch something if we're both on our computers. At the moment I am really into Guild Wars and if there are other GW Genvibers out there, PM me and we can hook up for some quests or something. Also been playing some Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines but set that aside to play GW. I've finished VTM Bloodlines several times, still only half way through Guild Wars.On the PS2, last games I was into on that were Gran Turismo 4, Blood Rayne 2 Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater and GTA San Andreas. Also had my first Halo 2 experience the other day with the guys from church. We did capture the flag, rocket ball, team vs team including bomb planting in enemy base. I planted 3 bombs in 3 games, planting 2 in the second game to win it and 1 in the last game though the team I was on, we only one 1 out of 3 games lol. Was a lot of fun and easy to pick up on, aiming the gun sights took a little bit though.

Hmmm...PC: None right now...cancelled my EQ2 subscription a few months back for various reasons (ahem, played EQ1 for ~3 years, and it was a timesink/addiction problem!) . So, I'm a bit leery about jumping into anymore PC MMORPGs for fear that I will like it too much and spend too much time on it..XBox: Halo 2, Forza, Brothers in Arms, Fight Night Rd 2, Mechassault 2, and I just picked up College Football 2006 GO BIG RED!Of course, I rarely find the time to actually play, but I guess Forza is my current favorite and 1-2 hr timesink about 3 nights a week. EDIT: lol I meant Mechassault...tells you how much I actually PLAY it. Fun game though
Yeah I never picked up EQ for 2 reasons... Number 1... paying for online play and number 2 reason, how everyone said it was so addicting. I'm already playing to much as it is lol. Guild Wars is a lot like EQ with all online play but no online fee which works for me. I played Forza once, not bad, I think though the only thing I liked about it over GT4 was the ability to load in your own soundtrack.

I don't play video games much any more . . . my buddy loves his copy of Final Fantasy 11 though, I think you can get that for the PS2, but it's like $13 a month to play. The games I play are at work - it's "take the rotten food and throw it to me" then I snap it out of the air with a wet towel, and hopefully it explodes! Muahahaha
PS2 - God of War, GT4, GTA:SA, Pitfall: the lost exsomething, tekken 5Xbox - mmm some forza but more into gt4, burnout 3, mlb 2005 --im selling my pimped xbox so i have no real reason to play it much any more-PC - went back and loaded up a old game called Ignition (racing game, freaking fun as all heck), BF2 soon ill get time, Half life 2
I recently finished play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater on my PS2. I would have to say it is one of the best, probably the best game I have ever played. I can even think of it as a movie, and as one of the best movies I have ever seen. I was so impressed by that game, the twists, the whole story, the graphics, everything. I'm going to replay Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 to refresh my memory of everything that went on since it's been several years since I last played it. I don't have any games playing on my PCs, I usually use my PS2. Right now I'm not playing much though.

MGS 4 on PS3!!!! if you can remember how mgs 2 looked for the first time on ps2 and how it was the best looking game then just imagine it on ps3 MGS 3 sustinance should be out someitme also and it will include online play and more fps thing (sorta like substance for mgs2) i do agree its a freaking great game i liked the end. if someone played through the game and recorded it to be a movie, id watch it.

Yeah, I was hoping that after you beat the MGS 3 you would have the cinema mode as in the PS1 MGS. I heard that the new Subsistence version coming out will have the cinema mode. I ended up playing through the game quickly using the Patriot (Boss's gun) to show my brothers the whole story.

MGS3 Snake Eater is the best. I've got all three now and will have to get the PS3 to get MGS4 when it comes out definatly. Hey anyone leave that little transmitter in Snake's shoulder after the prison break to see a very funny scene later with Eva? Hahaha... Oh and about the prison break, you guys have Snake flirt with the guard and everything? Very funny. The game though was exactly like a very good movie... I was cracked up by the James Bond jokes and stuff tossed around but, yes IMO it would make a wicked good movie.Hey any guildwars players here, post your character names or PM them to me, we'll hook up and kill some Charr. I have a SNES Emulator on my computer to play those old games. I used to kick (removed) at MK3 on the actual system but I suck badly on the computer for some reason.

No, I missed out on the transmitter scene you are talking about. I just took it out after I found it. Flirting with the guard? I knew there were several ways to escape, but didn't hear about that one; must have been pretty funny. The first time I played, I had snake spin himself around so he would throw up, then the guard came in the cell to help and I escaped. The second time I tossed the guard back some rotten food, he was hungry and ate it, got sick, ran to the bathroom, I used a radio frequency that unlocked the cell door, then snuck out. Man there are so many awesome scenes in that game!An awesome MGS site I found is: http://philosopherslegacy.fu8.com/ .

Or you can just wait for the guard to toss in your "fake death" pill and use that, he'll open the door and you can revive yourself and beat the crap out of him. But the flirting scene if I remember correctly is tossing food out to him till he comes over for a chat. Snake is getting pretty desperate at this point to get out and starts saying how lonely it must be to be in here guarding by himself. The guard gets all defensive and says to the effect "Hey I'm not that lonely, But I am married.." shows a photo you can then see the cell door code on the back. Once the scene is over, use that to open the door. Kinda like seeing The Sorrow waving complete heal and door open codes earlier.

Oh yes LOL, actually that is the method I used, they had the cutscene of them talking. I forgot what they talked about, but you refreshed my memory. I found a strategy guide online which I used the second way through the game to get through faster and see what cool things you could do.

I know they had some on earlier systems, but I never played them, but I've read up on their stories. I thought the one on the PS1 was awesome. My PS1 is what got me into games even though I played some NES when I was younger. I'm not a big gamer, but I probably never played a game all the way through until I bought my PS1. That MGS was great. Then MGS2 came out, was all hyped up, but I still haven't beat it yet. I played about half way and got bored. I'll probably get around to it someday. MGS3 came out and at first I wasn't planning to get it. A couple months after it came out, I read some excellent reviews and picked it up. The story is excellent, set in 1964 before the other games and it explains so much.

MGS3 takes place before MGS1 in both time and story but it all makes so much sense when you put the two together. Like killing Ocelot in MGS3, its a game over with a Time Paradox cause how could you kill him now and then meet him as an older person in the future? MGS2 was very good, great story, music and graphics. Only draw back was the very confusing ending with the La Le Lo La Lu (sp) and the Patriots... so pretty much it can get boring near the end. When MGS2 was being shown in its early stages, they only showed the tanker mission with Snake. You ever capture as much food as possible and get the girl to tell you if it tastes good or not? I had a laugh when Snake asks her if The End's little bird I shot was good to eat.My fav gun to use was the EZgun and Sniper Rifles... nothing like using the EZgun's laser sight to aim on a bee hive, shot it down, switch to sniper rifle and take out the guards as they run around yelling about the swarm of bees.

well the games i like to play..... oh wait! i promised phil i wouldn't say anything more about our personal lives.... j/kfunny story, last week i had to drop off a proposal to this place called "Gamerz." they only play counterstrike there so it has about 32 computers all hooked up. well, he was having a LAN party (i didn't realize people actually did this, that it was only a myth) that night. I walk in, about 5:30 pm in my black, nice fitting pants and a somewhat low cut shirt. it was a bit scary.... all these little freckled and acne faced jr and sr highers, some college guys and a couple military GI's all staring at me. i can see a couple of them whisper in each other's ears with big grins. i'm rather feeling a bit uneasy but i have to wait to talk to the owner because he's busy getting things set up for the "party". i finally get hold of the guy and quickly go over my proposal with him. as i left, i could see some disappointment on the little computer geeks' faces since it was a giant sausagefest. it kinda reminded me of that scene from "Eurotrip" when they're at the "nude" beach and they're running from all the naked old guys! "girl! girl! girl!" lol. seriously, you shoulda seen some of those guys. i kinda felt sorry for them, probably end up being 35 yr old virgins living at home with their mom!

Yes, people actually do have LAN parties, and it's not all that rare either...heh. We used to have a huge one with about 200 people here in the summer in conjunction with Fun Fest...not sure if they still do it, but I know it's not a Fun Fest event anymore.

Not to mention the $800 plane tickets each time we flew from one side of the continent to the other..... but ya, we don't need to go into that for everyone's benefit. maybe if i had a wealthy benefactor, i could have moved out a long time ago....i enjoy playing "cranium" or "catch phrase" with my friends (if we actually get to the games).

Well this went way off topic for a bit, from games to being the main income supporter for 3 months... but no comment on that as it never matters...I used to play board games like SORRY and some others but that was when I was younger before the age of computers warped my mind and made me not be satisfied with cardboard and dice.
