Joined the tinted club.

Post by sloth »

I'm down in Houston visiting my brother and got my windows tinted. It was easy to convice my wife we needed it as she got sun-burned in the car on the way down.I got 20 on the back windows and the 35 on the front with a 20 eye brow put on as well. The guy cut me a deal as my brother knows him so I got it all done for a little over $150. Without the deal it would of still been less than $200 so I'm feeling really good about it and it's some high quality tint. I think it was lumar.Back to being on vacation. I'll try to get some pics when I get back.

I couldn't get over how big a difference tint makes. Besides looking damn good, that is.On the way down to Houston, we had the recirculate on the a/c all the way cold and the fan on max and were still sweating. Granted it was a 107 going through Oklahoma. On the way back it was in the high 90's and we never turned the fan all the way on high the whole trip. Very comfortable.Wish I would of have done this in 2002 when I bought it.

Well I finally got some pics from yesterday up after my tint install. Went pretty bad the place was messing with me, I ended up waiting 8 hrs, but I paid like 225 for 35% all around I think it looks good.

I seen a Aztec the other day with the color, its really dark compared to mine. Also I believe I'm one of the few envy vibes. I see mainly Fusion in my area.

The place I went to jerked me around a bit too. As far as time. Hour and a half to get it done. Well I come back 2 hours later and sit there another 2 hours. It was like 90 inside the building too.I think the rear windshield wiper assembly proved to be formidible to the guy installing the tint.

Hmmmm, You really think that would look nice? Theres a powder coater down the road. How long would it take to get the rails off totally? Round 2 hrs? I was also looking at a bug deflector cuz i seem to have some chips in the hood plus it would bring the color out.

Powder coating the rails to match the paint might look pretty good. Myself, I just want to remove the rack completely.
