Drop it like it's hot!!!

Post by redlava »

Yeah I just got my Vibe lowered!!! I went with the Hotchkis springs and it turned out absoutely perfect. Here are some before and after pics. I think I am gonna have to trim my mud guards about an inch or just take them off casue they are rubbing on the ground when I go in and out of my driveway.

That looks very nice. Wish I could do that but to many racoons on the roads and to much snow in the winter.Your ride looks really nice, debadged and everything.

Thanks everybody!!Haven't gotten around to driving it much yet, but so far so good. The ride is a little more choppy than I expected, but nothing that I can't get accustomed to. Hopefully our winter is like our summer so far, no precip.

Welcome to the club.. looks good! Give the springs a couple weeks to settle and any noises you may hear should go away (if you have any).I had to trim an inch off my front mud flaps but got away without having to trim the rears (for now).

Which by the looks of things in the last picture, he is letting that happen with the front air dam the way it's parked up over that curb. You really gotta watch that with the lower ride.

You really gotta watch that with the lower ride.I have a bad habit of doing that. There are a few curbs around here that scraped at stock ride height. Those will probably crack the front end. Hopefully there wont be any new posts in here by me because of damage to the front end. I like that new sig. you got there rasermon. Can't wait untill you reveal your choice. LOL

i'm still stock on my new ride too. of course, if it were any lower, i think i'd scrape! plus it would defeat the purpose of why i got this car... awd for both snow and summer months.

Very nice redlava My solution to the scraping mudflaps was to trim them down about 1"

Unfortunatly I couldn't find a tape measure before I got it dropped so an accurate measurement is out of the window unless soembody could measure their '03 base from the ground to the wheelwell. I would guess that what Hotchkis states is pretty accurate. 2" in front and 1.75" in back.
