Its so i dont burn myself trying to shift when i first get in to the car That thing gets Very HOT esp. the Chrome Button....

Works for me... I use nine iron golf club cover instead of winter glove. It was so hot when I grab after eight hours work and sat in hot sunny day....

You got it all wrong dude. We all know you're supposed to use an oven mit for a heat shield and not a winter glove! And is that a turkey thermometer in your vent?

I'm sure the therm. is to check to see if the A/C is cooling to specs.

Yes, Well Sort of...I did get it at the Auto Parts store so Technicaly its for as Sloth said is to check to see if the A/C is cooling to specs.

ok, I may be missing something here, or maybee I just have realy thick skin on my hands, but i'm not realy feelin the schorching shifter button. been in some hot 98+ heat over the years and never encountered a problem here. oh well.
