Tire size and lug nuts...

Post by merckx56 »

I got a set of Scion TC 17s (take offs) from my new neighbor for $150. What is the correct tire size for this application? I'm thinking 215/45-17...And will my stock lug nuts work on the wheels?TIAM

Scion being a Toyota product, I would think the stock lugs would work fine. As far as tire size goes, you could use the following:215/45-17215/50-17I also believe a 225/45-17 would work. Please post some pics of your car with those Scion wheels. I was thinking about doing the same thing with mine.

Original factory tires are 215/45/17. Those wheels will fit, they do use a 5x100 bolt pattern, but I can't say if the lugs would work or not. I think alloys usually use special ones...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
