Is it just mine or do the rear tires of stock Vibes have negative camber from the factory? I have aftermarket 17" wheels and tires but i'm pretty positive they didn't create it.The tops of both my rear wheels are tilted in (negative camber), is this normal or do i need to take it back for an alignment?
Mine looks like it has negative camber as well. I belive the front wheels have positive camber so when you rotate they get even wear.[Edit] I should also say that my vibe was way out of alignment when I got it. So the camber could be way off as well.
You're correct about the negative camber from the factory on the rear wheels. I know that some at GM contributed the abnormal tire wear (and other tire issues) with the exaggerated negative rear camber. This also compounded with the owners that did not perform adequate tire rotation at the proper intervals. This issue, I initially recall, was back with the 2003 Vibes.. unfortunately I have never followed-up with this issue with the later model year Vibes, but I was told that GM "wanted" to make this negative camber a little less evident in the future years. (I'll make a note to check up on this).I have aftermarket 17x8 wheels on my Vibe and it's definitely noticable on the rear tires, as well as makes for tire rotation interesting to see how the tires react to going from the rear to the front end with different camber.
This was posted somewhere before, it is actually normal, I know it doesn't seem that way, I asked my dealer and they said that is the way it comes from the factory.

Yeah i tried a search of "Camber" but it seemed to only be people asking about lowering kits. Thanks for the info guys, at least i know mine is "Normal"
There were a couple of threads at least two years ago re alignment specs; the stock camber front and rear (at least for the '03 2WD) is around one degree negative. I turned up the thread(s) a while ago, but it was tough because "alignment" was subtly misspelled and so it didn't pop up from my search.
