Allow Genvibe access to popup windows question

Post by Baltovibe »

Apparently, the thread http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=17376 has been locked, so I guess I need to open a new topic in order to have my question answered. In the above mentioned thread, zionzr2 said "If you are not getting the IM's you may need to have an exception for this site to allow pop-ups."My question is, what site do I put in to allow popups ... http://www.genvibe.com , http://forums.genvibe.com , or is there another I need to put in ??Thank you!

it is forums.genvibe.com that the IM windows come from, so if you want to get IMs, you'd have to allow forums.genvibe.com to open pop up windows. The only pop ups I have ever gotten from forums.genvibe.com have been IMs, so I do not think it is a risk or a nuisance. Well, depends on who is sending IMs and what they have to say You have IMs disabled. I clicked on the button to send you an IM and got the following message: "This user has disabled instant messages." No users can send you IMs, independent of your pop up blocker. However, even when you have IMs turned off in your profile, moderators can still send you IMs, moderator IMs over-ride your profile setting, but you won't se them if you have pop ups blocked. You can go into your profile, Instant Message history, and for a particular person that has send you IMs or you sent IMs to, click Save to Notepad, and then you can see the conversation even if you have pop ups blocked, but it's a hassle to check there to see if anyone has sent an IM, so I recommend letting the forums.genvibe.com pop ups come through
