If you're willing to take a chance that it won't work..go for it..the antenna might be pricey though..

I must've missed where it said that..but of course, there never was a BOSE for the Vibe...

I *think* PayPal's buyer protection policy still covers defective merchandise even if it is sold as-is, as long as no damage was ever specified in the listing...and people really do get their money back through that policy too. I was one of them, when someone tried to sell me a "New, never been out of the box" iPod that had songs on it, scratches all over it, and a carrying case. Hard to put that on when it's still in the box...LOL It took 2 months because the seller went all non-communicatory on me, but I got my money back straight from PayPal because she wasn't responding. They had me try to return it to her address on file, and it was returned to me "no longer at this address." Eight months later I got another e-mail saying she wanted the iPod back (it was going to become a car iPod before much longer) so I had to send it again, but I made them give me shipping costs again. PayPal is pretty cool about stuff like that...thankfully.
i was talking about this on the MNelectronics link:Quote »Availability: Usually ships the same business day.Delphi Navigation Radio W/ Touch Screen Operation(Must Have Bose System) Radio Only $1449.99 Delphi Navigation.what is so special about the bose system that a radio will only work with it?

Bose systems are found in Cadillacs. Even the "bottom line" sound systems in Caddy's are still bose-made. I believe they use different components, and different wiring, than a traditional Delphi system would. I've never known a Pontiac to have an optional Bose system. And now that I think about it, that system probably relies on some variant of GM's lovely DataBus system, which the Vibe most definitely does NOT have.As an aside, that is most definitely not the same unit used in the Vibe. Looks like it might be an earlier generation model, just from the appearance of the key layout. Certainly doesn't look worth the $1500 they're asking for it. I got notebook PC USB GPS navigation for only $80. And it rocks the cat's pajamas.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Each speaker was in fact a speaker/amplifier unit. The amp was not in the radio. This could be one reason that this Delphi nav unit requires a "Bose system."As for Pontiac, Bose audio was an option for the Bonneville SSE model the last few years of its life.

the nav system with the bose requirements is the nav for the higher end GM cars. scalade, silverado, tahoe, suburban, and such. i'm sure there is a way to make it work with the vibe. this nav is the actual touch screen system. loks alot like the vibe model and has the same wire harness. i have the wiring diagrahm of it for who ever might try to install it on a vibe.
