Gauge Chrome Replacement?

Post by datdjrobp »

Hey guys, I'm a Lancer tuner, but my mom has decided to try and be hip and wants to do "things" to her Vibe. I'm trying to humor her and help out where I can. Her major concern at this point is the chrome trim around the gauges. She's not a fan of the sunlight reflected in her eyes. Understandable. Are there any replacements parts I could point her to or should I just take it off, sand, and paint it flat black for her? That's all for now. Thanks!

Welcome to the boards. Well, about the gauges, there really isn't anything you buy at this point. I would recommend doing what you're plan on doing. Sanding it down and color matching it tot he dash.Inder

Next, probably expected question.....How do I get that piece off? (Feel free to call me a noob and tell me to search. I won't take offense )

Naw, it's quite easy actually. Just tilt the steering wheel all the way down and pull towards you and it just snaps right off. Inder

After you get the entire shroud off, the trim pieces unclip separately.
