Another LED mod

Post by Lancer »

The original idea was to reflect the light off of the two chrome plastic pieces on either side of the A/C controls. This is how it turned out.

I just took off the radio cover, drilled a couple holes and wired them up to the fasten seatbelt light before the switch. They go on with the ignition key. The effect is a lot brighter in person. Here's a better shot at night.

I used some cheap ones from Autozone. I also used some on my back license light. My brother-in-law did it to his blue Mazda 6 and it turned out awesome. He aimed the blue light beam to go across the edges of his license plate. Mine did't turn out as well. The red wsn't as bright as the blue so I put red light bulbs in there instead.

No real point..just adds accents. I did something similar in my doorhandles.I might have to give that a shot! I have some random 12v flush-mount LEDs I could use...

i agree with jahnsta. i did the same with my door handle too. but i used a 194 size bulb. too much lighting in the interior can be distracting and annoying. but good on you for the creativity.

Very schnazzy. Is there a switch? Or are they always on?
