Aux2Car vs. Ipod2car

Post by Max_Weber »

Well, I have read most of this particular forum, but didn't really find a definitive answer regarding Aux2Car vs. Ipod2car. Basically, all I want to be able to do is play my Ipod, through the Factory moon and tunes. While both allow me to do this, the Ipod2car allows me to charge as well? Which is the easier solution (I am a newb to this whole car thing). Thanks.Max

Ipod2car does allow you to charge the ipod while you listen to it. They both install the same so one isn't any easier than the other. I installed my Ipod2car yesterday and so far I like it... works just like it's supposed to.

I'm going with AUX2CAR. I have an iPod, but I'm planning to keep this Vibe for 6 years or so, and I might switch audio solutions before I'm done with the car. So, the AUX2CAR will give more flexibility.I also have the Belkin car charger for my iPod, which I needed in my previous vehicle. That charges as well as taps into the line-out audio. It also has a built-in amp with a volume dial, so you can match the levels of the iPod output to your radio stations, and avoid ear damage when switching back and forth. The POD2CAR has the advantage of allowing you to use the CD player controls on the head unit to change tracks and FF/REW.

I read on another forum that you can order the RCA input cable from the aux-box. I'm thinking of doing that just in case... that way I have it if I need it and won't have to buy something else in a couple years. I need to find out how much the cable is though...
