ok, i know this has been discussed already, but i'm wondering if someone can help me clarify...i'm buying a yellow top next week, and am unsure which to purchase...e-mailed optima and they told me the 35 series yellow top...on the posts here, though, someone installed the 51 series, which looks as though it is actually the correct one...so, can someone tell me which it actually is??????

What color and series you get all depends on how much current you plan on drawing. The yellow tops are the best battery to have when your drawing a lot of current when the car is not running, and the red top is a great battery for when the car is running.

Hi,The 35 is what I have for my Redtop. The posts are reversed so that you don't have any problems with existing cables. That's probably why they told you that one. Maybe it doesn't come in a Yellow Top which is why they have the 51R. Just make sure you get the 51R (If you go Yellow) or the 35 (If you go Red) and you'll be fine.Dave
