Yep, you might have guessed it, but I have already scraped my Psychovibe bumper a few times since installing it only a few days ago, but finally managed to crack it a little at the bottom yesterday on the way home. Let's just say, with this Hotchkis drop, I can't go anywhere!! I have to look for an alternate route to get into almost anywhere as most of the entrances have at least a small dip and I scrape! Now I have a few small cracks at the bottom. I haven't even installed the rear bumper of side skirts yet either! I barely make it over small speed bumps, and with the skirts I am afraid I won't even make it over those! Oh well, guess you have to pay for your looks with inconvenience.

And now we know why every body kit we see on a Civic or any other car is scraped all to hell, cracked, and sometimes broken...heh.With the lowered look of the body kit, you might want to reconsider the drop and go back to the stock springs to save your body kit.
If you have the money you could switch to Eibach, I think their drop is only a little over an inch. That might make all the difference right there. Sorry to hear about your dilemma, that sucks when good ideas don't work out as well as planned.

see if I put a kit on my Vibe I would have to raise the car back up at least an inch... if your car is lowered with that kit on there as well you must not be to high off the ground as it is... You may have to raise the car back up?

Asie from money, this was the biggest reason for my cancellation of the 4-peice kit...I already scrape my front bumper leaving work..
It's too bad the front isn't designed to scrape the ground, my old 280z aftermarket front fascia was rubber mounted and the bottom few inces was flexible rubber, it would get scratched a little but would not break.

I think your best bet is to go back to stock height. The body kit makes the car look lower than it is so it wont look bad and that will avoid you scraping soo much.

yes, there was a guy who did in MI, was selling them for something very cheap (well, relatively speaking compared to new) on ebay or here. can't remember, but he was selling them for like $600 or so. it was last fall because had we not been saving money, they'd have been mine!
Wow, lot of replies here! Yeah, I know yours was low too rcasciola! I would love to bag the Vibe, but I don't have that kind of $$$$! If someone wants to sponsor me, then we can talk! I had Eibach Pro-kits and with the rim/tire set-up I have, the ride was horrible. I still have the stock springs and was considering changing them out, but I have just been trying to drive very carefully everywhere I go and do my best to find ways not to scrape. I don't know yet, we'll see what I can do. Maybe I can find a place that I can finance the bags and get that done. If I go that far, I will be showing this (removed)!

However I was kinda hoping someone actually knew someone with bags on their Vibe and had pics to show cause I am really curious. Now I'm not one to bag my Vibe as to me, bagging a vehicle is if you want to show it. If your looking for performance, then springs is the answer. And its a good thing my wife did not buy those, yet another waste of money on a car she did not keep lol. It really was a clearance sale on the ol TRDVibe. Everything MUST go. Only her seats stayed...

Why don't you sell the rims and springs and go with the stock springs and larger wheels that will give you the lowered look without the drop. Filling the wheel well is a good way to make your car look lowered, not to mention that the body kit will make it look lower anyway.

The biggest I have seen is 20's! I completely understand where you're coming from with this, but I 1) wouldn't get much for the rims, 2) wouldn't get much for the springs, and 3), don't have anything to use until I could afford the bigger rims!

I made a special trip through there just to see some hot little latina that kept giving me the flirty smile when I went through before. I didn't even know if she was there. My wife and I had gone through a few days before in her truck and when she did it, it reminded me of a time when she had done it before. So I went back to try to see her again. She was there, but my lame-@$$ didn't even talk to her, just got the cute smile and went through. When I got to the end there was a pretty deep dip. I knew right away I wasn't going to make it through, but since I couldn't go back and there was no where else to go, I thought, well, I'll take it slow and see how it goes. All that did was make the scrape sound 100x worse and longer! Yep, I wanted to kick myself in the @$$! All that for nothing!

I've been seriously considering getting a body kit for my 03 Vibe, but I live in Pennsylvania, which is notorious for its crappy roads. In particular, I have to travel one of the worst sections of route 80 in the state. As of right now, my Vibe is a COMPLETELY stock AWD, non-GT version. If I get a body kit, am I going to be dragging my undercarriage all over highway 80, scrapping my car to shreds? Does anyone have a body kit that also has stock springs and all?
