ac peeing on the floor....

Post by robdog »

yesterday, 90 degree day, had ac on and after a while it just started basically peeing on my floor, mostly on the passenger side, but a little on the drivers side too. I saw it happen one time when I took off and it looked like somone was pouring water out of a glass, it was coming from right underneath the front glove box area. Any ideas or anyone have similar issues?????

Check the drain lines, for sure, but if they look intact, something could be blocking the drainline. My wife's RAV4 had the same problem and after two visits to the dealership, we found a small wooden dowel stuck in the drainline outside the firewall. Where that came from, we have no idea (but we weren't the original owner so we're thinking....KIDS!)

Yep, it's the drain. It could be worse, it could be me peeing on your floor.

ok, thanks, I will have to look for this. It does only happen when the ac is on. So it is for sure an ac issue. If that pic shows up somewhere please post it in this post. I am not sure what I am looking for but I will look underneath there tonight and see if I see anything.

Yes, It was the drain, I pulled it out and still more water came out. I took it to the sink and water would not even flow through it. I stuck a screwdriver through it and cleared it out. Works like a charm now. not even a drop of water in the car. Thank you!!!

Same here- I disonnected the hose and water came pouring out, from the black box. I blew into the hose, and bam!! It was cleared out of debris and now works lijke a charm. If it appears connected pull it off and see if there is a blockage that seems to be the trick! THANKS A MILLION!!ANOTHER DREADED TRIP TO THE DEALER AVOIDED!!!!!
