beware of bad lug nuts

Post by burrpenick »

Those flimsy covers over the steel nuts are junk. Most air wrenches tear them up quickly, then they are a pain to get off. I just took the bad ones off mine, dont look great, but it wont strand me at the road side. Any suggestions on chrome nuts?

Yes, they do get chewed up rather easily. The dealer absolutely mangled one of mine, I made them replace it.
