holy crap, what will i do?...i'm having my car repainted (because of the crappy factory paint) by a custom paint man...no, i'm not getting the expensive custom job, but it is costing me $2,000.00...whatever will i do for a week?...i guess i'll have to drive my wife's G6...

huh? you should take it to the dealer, they should fit the bill. is ur car out of warranty?

Ahh, if only the factory warranty actually covered the paint. If it did, though, GM would be footing the bill for a lot of paint jobs, I can guarantee you that. Basically, I complained to my dealership about it when I'd had the car for about a year, and they told me it was normal wear and tear. I'm sure anyone else would be told the same thing. If you want new paint, you gotta pay for it yourself.

Our paint on hood have ton chips way is we brought home. I'm not complaint about it and I know GM's paint is cheap and did not last long on body....
