Craving a Saab!

I don't think a vibe is really me, although they are cool vehicles.Hope you like yours, and drive many carefree miles.

A Saab is a nice ride, especially the newer ones. And yes, they are owned by GM, another good selling point. I like the Saab wagon, it's a nice versatile machine.

for the dough you could get something better in my opinion, but nevertheless, they are far underrated, the latest 9-3 sedan (i think), is pretty hot

Sometimes finding out what you DON'T want or DON'T need is just as important as knowing what you DO prefer.Different strokes for different folks! That's why there are so many different manufacturers and types of vehicles to choose from. I sure loved the power and speed of my '88 Saab 2-door 5-speed 900 Turbo SPG for the year I owned it, BUT it certainly wasn't 'family-friendly'. Like the Vibe GT, it required premium gas, it rode like a race car with the sport suspension and Z-rated tires. The insurance cost was pretty outrageous compared with a 'family sedan', too (more than triple). Since I was married and had a 4-year old, I sold the Saab (for MORE than I paid for it!) and bought a 'moderately boring' 4-dr family sedan at the time.

My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.

I have a very family friendly Toyota Sienna. We plan to keep it to make those family trips in, cart youngest to camp, older ones to college, but I really look forward to getting out of a Mom-Mobile. I can already smell the new leather, and envision a nice drive with DH and sunroof open. My fatherinlaw once said "new car fever is the worst sickness you can have"!

My husband has an '05 9-2x linear, and he is loving it. It has more power than my Vibe, better AC, standard AWD, but less leg room and cargo room. Every time we drive in it, he mentions how much he enjoys driving it. With the rebates they are offering, it's hard to beat the price....There's also the added benefit of buying from a luxury dealer where they tend to treat the customer in a more professional and polite manner (i.e. don't try to screw you with the price or paperwork). Just our opinion!amy

it's the same as the subura impreza (saab 9-2). depending on whether you want the turbo or not, also depends on what you prefer. for the price of the saab, i went over that and got myself the Legacy GT Limited. more features, faster, nicer, and it was LESS money! go figure. lol. but regardless of what you do, the vibe is still a great car. i do miss mine every so often. got to drive it this last weekend so we could get a few pics of it with my hubby's vibe.

they had the car for well under sticker. i had to talk them into giving me $1000 more for my trade since i was so far under book. then, since they really wanted to get rid of the car (it'd been sitting on the lot since aug), they took the hit. they told me i HAD to buy the extended warranty or they couldn't sell me the car. this was the ONLY way they could make up the loss. so i bached at the $1995 price tag for the extended warranty and told them no thanks. he said, well, come over and i'm make it an offer you can't refuse. after the number crunch, they gave me the $1000 more for the vibe, dropped the price more on the LGT, gave me the extended warranty w/ the $50 deductible for $1495 (acceptable and I can always cancel it to get some of the money back). i believe the total price for the car itself (not included the trade or extended warranty) was $26,800 from $32K. But I took a huge hit on the vibe, plus title/tags, extended warranty, etc, still had to put a lot of money down to get the pmts at a decent rate. planning to refinance in November when I can add Phil onto the paperwork so we can get his credit in the US started. I want a house next year!
