Damn, you guys are prepared!I have no fluids. A pair of jumper cables too short to reach to the batteries of most other cars. The cables, some work gloves, extra fuses, my owner's manual (how often do I need it), a rain poncho, and a couple of hand tools (screwdriver, pliers), and a torque wrench all under the floorboard. The cables and such are kept in a Case Logic bag I found on discount at Target:Only paid 5 or 6 bucks for it, and it fits PERFECTLY in that recess above the tire...because everything is in there, makes it real easy to take the whole kit out to dig for something, or if I need to remove it to make space for something...I also have all my stock bulbs (headlamp, foglamp, ambers, and even dome lights (no, domes aren't stock either )) in a box, each bulb was cleaned with alcohol, wrapped in cotton, and put in a plastic bag, then all secured in a little box...just in case I ever have an HID crisis...plus, I always know where they are...There was an episode of Motorweek where they covered every thing you should have in a roadside emergency kit...it's still sitting on Tivo, one of these days I'll pull it off, make the list, buy the stuff, and be ready. My parents use nice sturdy baskets like this: in the trunks of the Grand Prix and G6. The big holes in the basket make it easy to attach the hook of a bungee through, and they find various points in the trunk to keep it from sliding. You could do the same thing in the Vibe, and use the side hooks and the cargo tie-downs provided to secure it. The baskets were a tad pricy: about $25 a pop when they got them a few years ago at Lechter's Housewares (remember that place???? I used to work there, was traumatized to see it go out of business, loved that place), they might be a bit more now, but well worth it. We have a bunch of them around the house, they're virtually indestructable. There's a store called "Organized Living" (
http://www.organizedliving.com/) that is like a Lechter's and Ikea rolled into one and shrunk. They're very gadgety. Anyway, they sell them...but OL only has 27 stores nationwide. If you ever get the chance to check out a store, do it. Fun times indeed!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
