replacing the trim(body kits?)

Post by viberacer15 »

most vibes have the greyish plasticky trim along the bottom of the car, i know you can buy a model with the same finish as the body color too. im just wondering if there are any body kits in which that trim is removed and the body kit installed in its place, like the vibe gtr showcars body kit. the GM supercharge body kit seems to only add on to the base of the existing trim, im looking for something that replaces the trim completetly

I have been asking the same question all over this forum and with the local dealer. They all say that you have to paint the plastic molding's and bumpers to match your car (for ONLY $1087.84). I thought it's dumb that you just couldn't order colored parts. Like, what if a monotone Vibe has an accident and the bumper and some molding need to be replaced? What will the Pontiac body shop do? It sounds stupid to get the gray parts and charge you out the (removed) to paint them? I'm ranting again. Sorry!I'm hoping that as parts become more available then maybe GM will be kind enough to have painted body parts.
