Get me back up to date:Motor Mounts

Post by Evanshall »

Havnt been around in ages, tons have things have changed for me and my relationship with cars(matured, majorly) thats what happens i suppose!anyways last year i ran two autocross events, one in my lowly tempo, and one in the Vibe GT, this year the Tempo isnt really fitted on tires that could stand for Autocross(main reason is max pressure is 35PSI, and i dont wanna blow another 100 dollars for front tires on my tempo) so anyways last year when i ran the GT i had a series problem with wheel hop, and was just wondering what i could do about this, what are the brands, your recommendationsim not looking for something super expensive, the Vibe GT is my dads car and hes letting me pay off some of my expenses with motor mounts, but i need to save for my own car too so i dont really wanna blow much more then around 100 dollars on this thing, unless its like 250 for the ultimate in wheel hop elimination haha!anyways thanks guys, id like to apologize for the past me that posted here, to be honest those were confusing times in my life but no need for details

I have motor mounts installed. They help a whole lot with reducing wheel hop. The only time I really get hop now is if I drop the clutch while rolling on a wet surface. Even then, it is minimal.Energy Suspension makes them for our cars. The kit comes with 4 inserts. 2 for the front mount and 2 for the rear. On average, it takes people 1.5 hours to install them. You can get them at http://www.ptuning.com if you search under 2003 Matrix. They go for ~$35.
