Nick --Is it possible to adjust the setting for maximum signature length? 400 characters is pretty easy to blow through...especially if I'm putting a hyperlink in the signature...500 would be helpful, if it could be done!

I know I don't have any seniority here to really make any suggestions, but is there a limit on the size of pics in signatures? Some sig banners are absolutely huge! (both kb and pixels size). It makes this site undesireable to browse on a pda or dial up connection.

I can't say for sure about limits, but I do know that moderators have never hesitated to nudge members via IM if their signatures seemed excessively large. It's always an option for dial-up and PDA users to turn off viewing signatures under "My Profile" » "User Options" » "Show Signatures."

Ragingfish said it, it's kind of an honor thing for people to keep signatures small. If we notice one that is excessive, we'll let them know. That said, it's hard to keep tabs on them all so if there's one that is causing a particular problem, please let us know.
