Hi. Just joined this forum today because I'm very curious about the Vibe. I don't know if you can tell by my username, but I'm into older inline4 motorcycles. I'm currently building a Streetfighter based on a 1974 Kawasaki Z1 (KZ900/1000).Just curious as to if there are other motorcyclists that are members here. Not only are motorcycles my passion, they are also my therapy!
there are lenty of motorcyclists here...and if you're curious about the vibe, take one for a test drive, you'll love it....and welcome...here is a pic of my Yammy...
A damn woman. I let her know about it all the time too. Believe me, a woman is the ONLY thing that would make me leave Texas for Tennessee. On a couple of motorcycle forums I belong to, my signature reads: "I'd rather be a fence post in Texas than the king of Tennessee." LOL.Btw, here is a pic of my 1974 Z1 Streetfighter project.
what sort of motor are you going to put in it?....so far i've put bigger jets in, and put on the full M4 system...i haven't messed with the gearing yet...
Dang women...I tell ya....Well a lot has changed out here in the past 10 years... you probably wouldn't recognize it...By the way...the frame looks nice, you powder coat it or paint...
I had a 73 Honda CB750 Four for a number of years. I never rode it much, and my mechanic yelled at me every year for letting it sit so much.I took a spill, sans helmet, off of a scooter while vacationing in Hawaii. I was hurt, though not horribly, and riding the Honda never seemed quite the same after that.I sold it on eBay.

I have a Kawasaki KLR250 that I use both on-road and off-road.Problem is, Maryland is getting so built up, that it is getting harder to find a place locally to ride off-road. Thus, my need of purchasing a pickup truck last year. Now, if only I could find a Class 2 hitch for the Vibe, then I could take the bike with the Vibe!

That which may be known of God is evident within man, for God has shown it to them, so that they are without excuse.(Romans 1:19-20) What do you want most in life?
Man, I hate getting home at this hour; fortunately it only happens a couple times a week.kharman..........So far the plan is to keep the engine stock, although my oem cylinder (KZ900) is pretty chewed up. I have acquired a KZ1000 cylinder bank with hi-compression pistons (Wiseco), but that means I'll have to have some more agressive cams. I can always go back to a 900cc cylinder set, but either way it will be costly. This project has been pretty expensive as it is. The good thing is that the bike was given to me. It had been sitting outside unprotected for over ten years. Needless to say, it was rust city.bud_one....I had the frame powdercoated a "smoky chrome" color. ($200). One must remember this is a 30 y/o scooter; I wanted to modernize the components so the whole front end you see is from a 1992 ZX11C Ninja. The boxed aluminum swingarm is from a 1982 Suzuki GS1100E. The reason for another swingarm is so I can fit a larger rear tire than the oem "bicycle tire" that came on the bike per 1974. The rear tire is a 180/55/ZR17, mounted on a 1994 Kawasaki ZX6E wheel. I have yet to figure out the rear brake system, but that will actually be a piece of cake. In order to mount the newer swingarm, I had to have two 4.5mm shims/spacers made to make it bolt tightly to the Kaw frame. As I was saying................ This has turned into one helluva project, but I LOVE IT!!!!! I'm pretty tired right now....as late as it is, I still have to open the store first thing in the morning (retail wine & spirits), then I have to p/u my wife at the airport at 7pm............BUTI have to tell Baltovibe that I love his KLR. Once this Z1 Streetfighter project is finished, I hope to get a 4-stroke 250/350 dual-purpose bike. I haven't ridden dirt in many a year but I long to. One more thing I must say is that this is one great forum. Even though I don't have a Vibe or Matrix, you good folks have been so kind, helpful, and generous with your knowledge. I sincerely appreciate it.
