Riddle me this, and this is pure curiousity:Could you theoretically take a Pontiac steering, say from a Grand Prix or a G6, with the radio controls and install in one of our beloved Vibes? To make things more difficult, could you put such a steering wheel into a car that has an aftermarket radio? ...with Sirius?I have neither the the ability nor the time nor the money to do this, but I was just curious. You know, in case I do find the time or money... or someone with the ability....hjwii2005 Vibe, Neptune... lots of pieces parts
Someone is already trying to add steering wheel controls to their Vibe. The verdict so far is:1 - The stock Vibe radios have inputs for steering controls that work2 - The steering wheel coil (clockspring) would also have to be replaced, as it doesn't have enough wires. Also, if you replace the whole steering wheel, you now have the problem of the airbag, and whether it's compatible with the Toyota system.See the thread:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=15761
