Custom eyelids feeler. Anyone interested?

Post by damronjr »

http://www.matrixowners.com/fo...47649As you can see they will do it and I may be able to leave the car if they'll do it, but we need at least 5 guaranteed buyers before they will consider it. Let me know. I have asked to see what they will run, so I will let you know when I get a response or just watch the link. Maybe a more northern SoCal guy (i.e. southern LA area, Christian?!?) could do it if interested. Kind of a drive for me and then 2 take 2 cars to leave 1, kind of hard. Anyways, just thought I'd see if there was any interest.Edit: Got price info:damronjr wrote: How much would they run? Need to know to get prospective buyers. It'll be the same price as mentioned for the matrix.. $45 bucks for the Fiberglass and $75 for the Carbon Fiber

I'm in for a set. I am assuming I would have to get the fiberglass set painted locally?

My friend bought a set for his civic and used a good can of spray paint and it matches perfectly! You may not have to spend alot on paint since they are just eyelids... unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to get them after the hood, ticket, and $700 repair bill!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll let you know though That seems likea ton of money for eyelids, especially the carbon fiber although the C/F would look absolutely amazing in unison with the hood

I have the vinyls from grafxwerks now, just haven't put them on. They look fine, but they look exactly as they are, like stickers on your lenses. These will look more like a part added than a sticker. Just personal preference.

Yeah you'd probably have to see it in person to respect the idea. i would have said the same, but as I said my friend got a set for his civic and they look REALLY nice, and they give it a 3d kind of affect instead of flat.

So, does that make a solid 4 thus far? Me, bud_one, bluecrush, and scherry2? We still need at least 1 more.

Well, lancer makes 5, so if you were one of the 5 please verify that you are still a go and I will get back with them and see what we can do. I would like to wait maybe another week and see if we can get any more so more people can take advantage of this GB. Any thoughts?Edit: Sorry Lancer, as far as I know it is only Fiberglass or regular carbon fiber, but as I am getting the silver CF as well, I can check on whether they will do color carbon fibers or just plain black.

I would come drive you around if I was closer! Unfortunately I only have my Vibe and my wife's truck, but we work overlapping hours so I don't see how I could do it. I may be able to figure out a way if I HAVE to, but I was hoping somebody else would be closer and could do it instead.

I don't get it, wouldn't vinyl overlays be cheaper and serve the same purpose?

Well, you can't get carbon fiber overlays. Also, the eyelids give it a more 3d effect rather than flat I think.
