I am thinking of installing an in dash video system in my vibe. Has anyone else tackled this yet. Here is a unit that I purchased on ebay and I am hoping will work with little modification.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1Thanks for any suggestions.
Umm. what's the name brand? Can't see it in the pics or in the text. I would recommend the Kenwood double din LCD DVD player screen. I think that would work out very well.Inder

This is actually an import form Honk Kong. The Brand is LM. Never heard of it, but have a cousin with one in his F150 truck. Good quality. The only thing I am concerned about is the fitment into the dash. I hope I do not have to mod it very much.
That looks pretty cool. When you do it, take pics as you go along and show us what you had to do to make it work. When it's in, don't get too distracted watching TV while you drive would hate to hear that a pretty fusion vibe got trashed.and welcome to genvibe!
You need to get the wiring harnesses (Metra 70-2003), Antenna adapter, (Metra 40-GM10), Dash Kit (Metra 99-8205). The radio will fit fine. The dash kit comes with a double-din trim ring that'll cover up the extra gap in the dash. You should just be able to use the factory mounting brackets on the new radio, just unscrew them from the factory radio, and screw them into the holes on the new radio. This way you'll have to do no outragous fitting into the dash. Also, the remote pictured is a knockoff Sony, so they're probably using the same components as Sony does. And, just as a disclaimer, it is illegal in most (if not all) states to have full-motion video playing in view of the driver while the vehicle is in motion. If you get pulled over and the officer sees video on the screen, he can (and probably will) give you a ticket.

Hi Shano...I've been wanting the Kenwood eXcelon DDX-7015 for a while now. Actually, this unit that you're showing is extremely similar. I've also found that there is a Pyle DVD which is also very much like this but I think the screen is a bit smaller. I'd just rather spend a few bucks more for a name brand but if your think it'll be reliable, cool. Take pictures when you get it and install it!Dave
I was told that the mmon and tunes package had an extra part behind the radio that might prevent it from being able to be installed. Does anyone happen to have a pic of a factory radio pulled out, or does anyone know if this is true?
