need constant 12v wire in trunk area

Post by jim »

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the trunk area. I'm installling a rechargeable flashlight and it needs a constant 12 volts. I'm looking for a wire that always has power to it even when the vibe is off. THANKS

The Keyless Entry receiver has constant battery power, and is located behind the trim above the the little storage area in the passenger side of the cargo area.I can find wire color codes for the receiver if you need them.

I think +12 is the blue/yellow wire (pin 5) ground is the white/black wire (pin 1) The other two are serial data.

If you don't mind me asking where did you get the rechargeable flash light? I never even thought of this but I think it would be very helpful for bass tournaments, when I launch my boat it is usually an hour before daybreak and a handy dandy flashlight might be of use.

I bought it several years ago from GALLS a FD/PD/EMT supply company. The one I have is made by STINGER. It has a rubber housing and I beleive it is waterproof.

I am familiar with Galls. I should check out their catalog to see what types they have.
