Train Horn

Post by Wimperdink »

I found a giant train horn for sale in a truck stop. The thing is huge. Need to have it mounted to the top of the car. Its like 3 horns mounted in a triangle and their bigger than normal Semi air horns. How fun would that be in tunnels.

(removed)...how fun would that be anywhere. You could buy a nice big roof scoop and hide it under there

I think you may need an extra battery (or 12) to power that puppy...it'd likely drain so much power the car would crap out.

Turn it on, and watch them get pissed. There is something to be said about loud horns, but I checked autobarn.com, and the good ones cost several hundred dollars.

Cops don't like it when you do that.

Cell phone jammers are illegal as well. Although the FCC has apparently never really enforced the law, the penalty would be steep if they were to suddenly decide to start doing it...Quote »In the United States, actively jamming a cell-phone signal is illegal. The FCC, which is the government agency in charge of regulating the airwaves, has established severe penalties for doing so. If you're caught at your local restaurant with the SH066PL2A/B, it's possible you could face an $11,000 fine and a one-year jail term.http://slate.msn.com/id/2092059/

Ok, I'm buying a jammer...I hate when people come close to hitting me all because of their in ability to talk and drive at once. My friend's saturn got anihilated from some girl that was on the phone "what were you thinking?" she responded with an attitude "I was on the phone"...If cellphones are illegal in some states whil eon the road than why are jammers illegal...sorry for stealing the thread (removed).

Sorry man those horns were too pretty to hide under a scoop... they were giant too.. from bottom of mount to top of the top horn they were like 12" tall and about the same wide. I'd have to make them removeable though. Would have to have onboard air compressor to keep them tooting. I wonder if $160 is too much to put out for horns. Lemme go talk to the ole lady.

There are no laws being actively enforced dealing with the use of cell phone jammers, even though they are deemed illegal. Then again, so are radar detectors in some areas but people still use them, but at their own risk. Mine only works within about a 30ft radius(only my immediate area), but I find it works better than a horn most of the time. If someone is in my way, driving like an A$$, I will use my divine ability to make them pay attention to their job at hand. Also works great in movie theaters. If I had a train horn, I really wouldn't need it because they wouldn't be able to hear themselves think. Now this thread has me thinking.

Mine sounds kind of like a horn out of a ferrari. was like $25 at autozone. Scared the crap out of more than a few people, that's for sure.

I just got back from a seminar, which was ruined by cell phone abuse ... seems everyone has to feel so important by keeping their cell phones on during seminars, classes, movies, etc. I personally use the vibrate mode of my cell phone during those situations so not to bother anyone. "Cell Phone Rage"? I guess rudeness is America's way these days!

You would need a battery powered compressor for it, those things run on compressed air.
