Tweeter Noise...Stock HU

Post by zionzr2 »

I have a stock setup with XM M&T. I am noticing a crakle type noise coming mainly from the passenger side a-pilar tweeter area. I only notice the noise in the XM Band so when playing a CD or the Radio there is no noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanx

Is it only on one channel on XM? Does messing with the Bass/Treble on the radio do anything?

Usually something like that sounds like there's too much level going to the radio, like the output of the XM reciever is putting out too much 'volume' to the radio and causing it to distort in the radio.. That's only a guess, though, as I haven't noticed that coming off my aftermarket XM unit.
