Dimmer Lead for Head Unit?

Post by Celos »

I couldn't find this with a search, so apologies if it's already out there.I'm about to purchase and install a new head unit to replace the stock stereo. I've been looking at the Alpine CDA-9847, and it's got a dimmer lead that dims the HU display when the headlights are on.I realize with the screwy DRL in the Vibe that this might not even make sense, but does anyone with a wiring diagram know which lead in the Vibe's harness that might be?Thanks!

If you buy an adapter for the wiring harness, it probably comes with a pin outA couple of threads that may have the info are http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6799 and http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=5396looks like pins B4 and B5 on the 24 pin connector carry the illumination, not sure if one is +12., ground or what.
