Hmmmm, scary how much this sounds like me and my wife. And we are both in our mid-30's! Yeah, we are geeks.

That's actually the reason I WON'T get WoW. I know that if I had it on even once in the house my life would be over. At a friend's house He hooked me up with a new character and I was on for 2 straight hours until my wife dragged me out of his house by my lips.

I go through gaming spurts when I want to play all the time, then times when I don't touch it at all. Right now I'm not touching it at all. In any case, I think "The Sims" is the most addictive game I've ever played. I can sit and play that for literally hours without even realizing how much time has gone by.

Doesn't seem like there is a goal to strive for...but maybe I just don't get it.

My goal was to make them die, usually. Or just wet themselves because they can't get to a bathroom. (removed)! It was great, have someone walk into a small room, pause the game, go into build mode, take out the door and put a wall there so they can't get out... hahaha! No, I'm not twisted, not in the least bit! I'm looking forward to buying these games for the Mac once it comes in. Not really a big gamer, but those kinds of gamess I can play. Shoot 'em up's or whatever, I could never get into.

I haven't actually killed any sims, though I have burned up a few kitchen appliances in my time. My sims have a really strange and funny story...I made this character of "myself" and "my husband," no kids...and I could only manage one character at a time so I was just letting the husband have free will while I sent myself to work and such...well he lost his job, and then he fell in love with the male neighbor and left me. It was great.

MJN2: My wife and I played AC for a very long time. In fact, I was one of the original beta testers (worked for MS at the time). Nice to hear we were not the only AC junkies! BTW, I was Redhook and my wife was Lilandryl.

LOL I can definitely relate, having played EQ for nearly 3 years (gah,...3 YEARS!). I ran my own mid-to-high level raiding guild (mainly 55's-60's)...that was like a 2nd job

You haven't lived until one of your sims bursts into flames while grilling burgers on the back lawn! That happened to one "family" I had created. She lost her husband to a cookout gone bad, and every time she walked past the grill, she'd start sobbing. LOL!

We were both on Frostfell server. Made a lot of good friends while playing. Still keep in touch regularly with several, even though none of us play anymore.

See, I can never get into those games, I enjoy face to face human interaction and sunlight too much.

My son and his buds play Warcraft III all the time - they play all the mods and custom scenarios. He's got me hooked on a "Dawn of the Dead" version...brutal...I got to work late because I had to play it before I left.
