I have seen posts of squeeks from gauge cluster but my noise almost sounds like it is behind left hand side dash air vent. Has anyone else had this? The vent cover didn't pop out easily so I stopped trying thinking I better ask here first if anyone had any ideas. It comes and goes with road surface roughness. Thanks...
Same here, same noise. However, mine started to appear when the weather went cold. After the car heats up it goes away, so the car rattles along for the 1st 5 minutes of the trip. Some others have mentioned this before, but none have described it as being behind the left vent the same as I experience. Looks like it would be a (removed) to get at.....

I had a noise in that area also, and isolated it to the a-pillar plastic cover. It was very loose attached to the steel pillar and I ended up taking it off and putting some foam padding inside and the noises stopped. Mine was dependent on temperature, road conditions, etc. also.
So your noise was from the pillar going from roof to dash? I'll see if putting pressure on that stops the noise on my drive home tonight. Otherwise I will have to stop by the dealer during thanksgiving weekend which isn't my idea of fun. Thankds for help and any other ideas...
Mine does the same thing. How had was pulling the A-pillar cover off? How does it attach? It appears that you just pull it off from the top and the lower portion slides up. Is that correct?

The above scan is fairly accurate, however I think there is only 2 clips that hold the plastic cover in place. What I ended up doing to remove the cover was to stand outside the vehicle facing the pillar. I put my hands on the cover inside and pushed up and in. It is kinda hard to explain, but that was the best way I could remove the cover.Basically it is the same motion as if you were sitting in the drivers seat and was going to pull the pillar cover towards you, except I was standing outside and pushing the cover towards the inside of the vehicle. This position gave me the best way to get a good grip on the cover. It took some force, but came off with no problems. There is a wire bundle on the pillar covered by the plastic. I secured that, however that was not the main problem in my case. I had to take the cover on and off many times while adding one-sided sticky foam to certain areas of the plastic cover before it was solid.
