Does anyone else have this problem? The 2003 Instrument Panel (in orange) is very difficult to read. Do you know if it can be changed out for a new one? Thanks.
it can be changed out to a new one at your own cost of course... basicly have them order an 04 cluster with your 03 readings like your mileage and it can be installed. I was actually a little disapointed when my 04 arrived with the red and white cluster. I rather liked the orange and still do.

I think that it can be done, and if I ever get adventurous I might drop the money to find out, but nobody better wait for me to be the first, could be a while. I think the dealer just doesn't know, si they say it's not compatible.

Anyone know if this is true?I wonder what a Toyota dealer would say about doing this to a Matrix..... Since Pontiac/GM is usually behind on info maybe the Toyota dealers know more.

I asked a Toyota dealer a year or so ago (assuming the part would be cheaper from a Toyota dealer and that they would know better if it would work) and they told me the same thing, they didn't know but since it looked different, it wouldn't be compatible. I just nodded and walked away. i've seen some '03 clusters on ebay, but haven't seen an 04 one yet. i would also need to figure out how to crank up the miles to match what mine currently shows.
There is nothing different about them at all... either they are saying no cause they do not have any idea and are just playing it safe. But the design is the same, only colour difference.
