Sounds like the cop was just getting revenge. If this offense was committed in the last two weeks, maybe driver could claim temporary insanity, brought on by the severe depression resulting from the Steelers disgraceful performance in their last playoff game

I heard about this on the radio the other day. I thought it was funny and I've always wondered what the charge would be for flipping off a cop. The state troopers around here are usually a-holes and love to play tough guy.Quote, originally posted by micheles_bad_vibe »Nassan chuckled about the lawsuit, but said the ticket was proper because -- he said -- Corey gave him the finger as part of a gesture that indicated he was changing lanes.I don't remember there being a gesture to indicate a lane change, especially one that includes extending one's middle finger. I think I'd recall something like that. From the PA driver's manual, I remember hand signals for left turn, right turn, and stop. All of them with all fingers extended. I think just about everyone knows what the middle finger exteded means, and it isn't a lane change. The cop is just out for revenge. And the issue about those cops shooting that kid in Uniontown has been through the news here several times, too. From the accounts I've heard of what happened with that incident, the police were justified in shooting him.
